Description

The King Abdul Aziz Road (KAAR) project lies directly on Makkah's western approach and stretches from the third Ring road intersection with Umm Al Qura Road to the Jabal Omar development just west of the Haram. the centrepiece of the KAAR development is a grand pedistrian boulevard of up to 60m in width flanked on both sides by hotels and residential apartments. The development will stretch roughly 3.65 kms with an average width of 320m.

Concept

The visioning concept of this project is based on dividing the development into four complementary zones each with a different Arabic style starting with Morocan, egyptian, syrian and Saudi style. Within each zone the buildings are classified within three categories that vary in height from 40 to 15 floors. The mix between the contemporary and traditional architecture and the harmony of distributing the heights of the buildings create the visioning character of this development.
